Matthias Mahlmann - Mind and Rights
Matthias Mahlmann is Professor of Philosophy and Theory of Law, Sociology of Law, and International Public Law at the University of Zurich. His research focuses in particular on practical philosophy and the foundations of law. He is the immediate past president of the world organisation of the International Association of Philosophy of Law and Social Philosophy (IVR). His book Mind and Rights: The History, Ethics, Law and Psychology of Human Rights (Cambridge University Press, 2023) was the subject of a large symposium in Zurich in 2024. This short film contains interviews with some of those who participated in the symposium on the book.
